Welcome to Heartwork
“You are not starting from zero. You are starting from experience.”
- Discover your income path from lived experience
- Release the identity that has been holding you back
- Build a business that works around your real life
- Leave with clarity, a plan, and one thing already done
Take one day at a time. Each day has a short read, journal prompts, and one action step. Your answers save on this device, in this browser, and nothing is sent to anyone. When you finish, open My Heartwork to see everything you wrote in one place and print or save it.
Root Work:
Who Are You Now?
“Before we build anything, we have to meet the woman who is doing the building.”
Does this sound familiar?
The woman you were before kids, health challenges, or life pivots was not your final form. She was a chapter. The woman you are right now, with everything you have survived, learned, and carried, is your greatest asset. Today we meet her.
Gen X women, and the women who walk this season beside us, were taught to shrink, to lead with what we do for others and not who we are. The invisible skills of caregiving and running a household carry real value, and they are the raw material we are working with today.

Write Your Right Now Me Statement
In 3 to 5 sentences, describe the woman you are today. Who you are, what you have been through, what you care about, and who you most want to help. This becomes the foundation of your brand.
Pain to Purpose:
Your Story Is the Strategy
“The thing you survived is the map someone else desperately needs.”
The lie we were told
You do not need a certification for the life you have already lived. Every hard season you navigated is a curriculum. The world is full of people teaching theory. You have lived it, and that is worth a great deal.
Your business does not need to be built around passion. Passion fades. It needs to be built around transformation, the specific shift you help someone experience because you have experienced it yourself.

Map Your Pain to Purpose
Write 3 experiences from your life. For each one: the struggle, what you learned, and who is still in it. Then choose the one that makes your chest tight with purpose. That is your starting place.
Real Money,
Real Life
“You do not need to sacrifice your peace to build something sustainable.”
What is really holding us back
Building something sustainable is not about hustle. It is about structure, turning what you already know into something that fits your energy and your life. Women managing health, family, and life do not need more to do. They need smarter structures. Today we start with what you really want, then look at what actually fits.

Tap the paths that feel most aligned with who you are and what your life can hold right now. There is no wrong answer, only honest ones. None of these is a promise of income. Results vary widely, and every path takes time and steady effort.

Name Your One Thing
Pick ONE income stream. Write what you would offer, who it is for, and what you would charge. Do not build it yet. Just name it. Naming it makes it real.
Not sure what to charge? Look at three similar products, note the range, and price where your work is clearly worth it, not at the very bottom.
Build the Container:
Simple. Real. Yours.
“You do not need perfect. You need present and functional.”
The perfectionism trap
Perfectionism is not about standards. It is about fear wearing a very convincing costume. Most women who build something did not wait until they felt ready. They started imperfect, served someone well, and refined from there. Done beats perfect every time.
Heartwork is the inside work, so this is a look ahead, not a deadline. You do not have to choose a platform today. You need to know what you will need. Whatever you choose has to do four jobs: show your offer, take payment, capture email addresses, and deliver the product.
- Start with one digital product and the lowest cost: Gumroad, Payhip, or Systeme.io.
- Email list, checkout, and a course area in one place: Systeme.io or Podia.
- Selling mostly through social media with a simple link in bio store: Stan Store.
- Reach people who are already shopping for downloads: Etsy.
Good fit when you want to be found by people already shopping for digital downloads.
Cost to start $0.20 per listing (renews every four months) and a 6.5% transaction fee, plus payment processing.
Worth knowing Etsy also offers optional ads. Its Offsite Ads fee is 12% to 15% on orders it attributes.
Good fit when you want to sell one product with no monthly cost.
Cost to start No monthly fee. 10% plus $0.50 per direct sale, and 30% on sales that come through its Discover marketplace.
Worth knowing Gumroad collects and pays sales tax for you.
Good fit when you want a free start and the option to add courses or memberships later.
Cost to start Free plan with a 5% fee per sale. Paid plans are $29 a month (2% fee) and $99 a month (no Payhip fee).
Worth knowing Stripe or PayPal charge their own processing fees on every plan.
Good fit when you want your products, courses, and email in one place and can pay monthly from the start.
Cost to start No free plan. A 14 day free trial, then plans from $42 a month billed yearly, with a 5% fee on the lowest plan.
Worth knowing Email is included but capped by plan at 100, 500, or 1,000 subscribers.
Good fit when you sell mostly through social media and want a simple link in bio store.
Cost to start Paid monthly plans. Check stan.store for current prices and fees, which were not confirmed for this edition.
Worth knowing Compare what each Stan plan includes before you choose.
Good fit when you want your email list, checkout, funnels, and a course area in one place, with a free plan to start.
Cost to start Free plan with 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course, and 1 custom domain. Paid plans start at $17 a month. Systeme.io charges no transaction fees.
Worth knowing Free plans limit automations and email campaigns, so check the limits before you plan Day 5.
Listed alphabetically. Prices and rules change, so check each platform's own pricing page before you choose. Figures were checked in October 2026 on the platforms' own pages, except Stan Store, whose current prices could not be confirmed for this edition. Mockingbird Collective uses Systeme.io. This list is not an endorsement, and as of October 2026 Mockingbird Collective is not an affiliate of any platform on it. Stripe or PayPal processing fees usually apply on top of the platform fees shown.

Write your 4 line offer.
Check 3 Boxes Today
You do not have to finish the whole checklist today. Check 3 items. That is enough. Progress, not perfection, is the standard here.
Automate and Sustain:
Rest Without Guilt
“Build it once. Let it run. You have already earned the right to rest.”
The fear underneath the hustle
Automation is not cold. Done with heart, it is one of the most caring things you can do for your audience and for yourself. It means your business keeps showing up on the days your body or your family needs you.
These three are all you need to start. Your store platform handles delivery. Your email tool handles the rest. Free plans on some platforms limit how many automations and email sequences you get, so check your platform's limits before you plan all three. Keep the unsubscribe link and your business details in every email. They are expected and they build trust.

Your First Business Boundary
Write your weekly rhythm below, then put it in your calendar right now. Tell one person in your household what those time blocks are for. That is your first business boundary and it is sacred.
